My beautiful BMW 520i SE was born in 1995 and immediately registered to the supplying dealer, Ryedale Central BMW. Two months later and with 14 miles on the clock, Mr G Lewis took ownership and enjoyed wafting around in her for the following two years, after which, he replaced her with another new BMW through Ryedale. At this point Dr Nichola Gale Lewis spotted my five series in the Ryedale showroom and immediately formed what was to become a 22-year relationship with her BMW. During this relationship, the car was treated with surgical attention to detail and was kept as new by her BMW dealer, to the point where even the tyres would only be supplied & fitted by BMW. The documentation is epic, including the original bill of sale (which includes the bill for the currently fitted Pioneer Radio/Cassette), fully stamped service book with associated invoices and all book-packs. All keys are present, as are the Ryedale monikered window sticker and number plates. Dr Lewis kept her garaged every night of her life and she never went out in the rain. This explains how she wears her original Petrol-Mica Blue paintwork with the lustre that could only normally be worn by a one-year old car….. it’s stunning! Her special option alloy wheels are unblemished and shod with factory correct Dunlop SP tyres. Her soft silver velour luxury trim is also absolutely like brand new, as is the wood veneer and even the interior smell. Due to being kept out of the sun, even the plastics and switches retain a new car appearance. Her turbine-smooth 6 cylinder 24 Valve engine absolutely sings when moving through a perfectly weighted manual gearbox, making for effortless, powerful and economical driving. She has now covered only 89000 gentle miles and is ready to give another 25 years of luxury motoring.
