Still pining for my 911 Turbo that is now being loved by another, I am once again in love with my jaw-dropping, 2004 manual Porsche 911 Carrera 4S. The previous, fastidious owner of this car would give me a run for my money when it comes to my automotive OCD! She is like new, presented in flawless Midnight Blue Metallic with a cosseting Metropole Blue soft ruched leather interior. This collector quality supercar was ordered with every option available, giving her a massive specification. She has just covered 50,000 and has a history file akin to The Bible. I have compiled a précis of this no expense spared life story, but it’s too large to post here! Suffice to say that every time she had her IMS bearing checked, she had a brand new clutch system fitted…… With a super positive six speed manual gearbox and four-wheel drive traction, I believe the C4 S to be one of the best driving 911’s ever produced. Don’t get me wrong, the 996 Turbo is amazing but brutal in the hands of the over-exuberant. The C4 S has the right amount of power, the right transmission and sticky four wheel drive traction, which allows us mere mortals to enjoy the visceral delights of driving a supercar very fast, whilst staying out of ditches! Another sure-fire investment, to be enjoyed while you watch her value increase with only one conundrum……Is she too good to use?!
