1975 MGBGT

96,000 miles

£SOLD

I am in love with this beautiful little British sports car, which has been cosseted and garaged since birth by only 2 local custodians in 45 years and has been known to me for the last 10.

In early 1975, Mrs June Wallace’s husband made an appointment with Worthing’s local MG dealer, whereby he specified and ordered this gorgeous little car as a wonderful surprise to her. He then affixed a personal registration and had the car delivered to C & D Autos of Preston Street Brighton to have a full Webasto Sunroof and headlining hand tailored. Naturally, June was delighted when all was revealed and knew that this car would stay with her for the rest of her motoring life! During that time, she lavished her baby with a no expense spared attitude to maintenance and care, also garaging her every night. This continued for nearly 30 years until age sadly precluded her from driving. At this point, my good friend Vince Wells was given the honour of becoming only the second custodian, whereby he continued to keep up June’s good work. After 16 years, Vince has lost his storage and wants the little MG to find another like-minded enthusiast owner.

Beautifully presented in stunning Citron Yellow, with a soft Black part Leather interior, the car’s time-warp condition completely belies the age. The paintwork is excellent, with only the slightest patina and there is absolutely no rust. The dealer option Chrome Ro-Style wheels sparkle, as do all of the trims, bumpers and even the expensive Stainless Steel exhaust. Also retained are the original Motorola Radio and even an optional 8-Track player! An average of only 2100 miles per year have been covered and this MG wants for nothing. Driving like a new ‘B’, recent maintenance includes a cylinder head adapted for Unleaded fuel and 2 very expensive, brand new S.U carburettors. Transmission and overdrive are perfect as are the brakes. The tyres are new all round, the factory tool kit is present, as are all of the original handbooks, wallet and ‘Supercover’ Service Booklet. Offering superb value, originality and with such an endearing history file, this piece of local British history is unlikely to remain in my stable for long!
